iFolders™ is a portal interface that integrates with the inbuilt FTP services associated with your iWebGate Portal Server. This allows users to quickly and easily, via leading web browsers, upload and download files in the portal. Incorporated with iFolders is a secure permission-based feature that allows you to set folder access based on a full suite of options.
Improving the communication process, iFolders is ideal for any oganisation wanting to:
Transmit large and confidential files instead of using or being restricted by email;
Centralise and conveniently store files and documents;
Enhance service delivery to suppliers and clients;
Securely access resources anywhere, anytime.
Additionally, FTP clients (e.g. Cute FTP) can be used to exchange information. However, when used, the user will be restricted to their home folders or site folders depending on portal administrative privileges.
